Alberta Blue Cross Non-Group Coverage Low income A supplementary health benefits program administered through Alberta Blue Cross that is accessible to all Albertans under age 65. A monthly premium is charged for Non-Group Benefits.

Interim Federal Health Program for refugees (IFHP) Refugee Status The Interim Federal Health Program (IFHP) covers certain pre-departure medical services for refugees coming to Canada for resettlement. Coverage is provided as long as the beneficiary receives income support from the Resettlement Assistance Program (RAP) or until the beneficiary is no longer under private sponsorship.

Family Support for Children with Disabilities (FSCD) This program works with eligible families to provide support and services based on each child and family’s need. They help families plan, coordinate, and access services to assist with raising a child with disabilities.
FSCD - Eligibility

Non-Insured Health Benefits (NIHB) Treaty Status This program provides eligible First Nations and Inuit clients with coverage for a range of health benefits. *Children remain covered under mother’s treaty number until 18 months of age*.
